It Started with a Storm

Last week, Koh Phangan decided to turn into a water world. The rain didn’t just fall—it poured for three straight days, drenching everything, flooding the streets, and wrapping the island in a heavy, misty stillness.

In the middle of all this, I got a last-minute call—"Can you sub for a yoga teacher at Wonderland?"

Normally, I’d prepare, tune into the class vibe, and craft something intentional, but this time, it was pure improvisation. I called it "Gentle Stretches & Nia 5 Stages," but what happened next was something completely new.

A New Flow Emerges

The rain outside made the world feel slow, introspective, and deeply connected. I decided to trust my body’s wisdom and let movement unfold naturally.

🌿 We began lying down, breathing deeply, easing into gentle stretches—opening the body without force, just soft, organic motion.

🌊 We flowed through breath-led movement, feeling into the joints, the spine, the spaces between.

💛 Instead of strict yoga poses, I guided free-style movement—like yoga, but softer, more intuitive.

🎶 A single morning song shifted the energy—we shook lightly, woke up our bodies, and let natural movement emerge.

We ended with relaxation, breath, and stillness—a moment of deep, effortless presence.

Something magical had happened. It felt good. Really good.

And when the class was over, someone came up to me and said:"This was amazing. You should call it Good Morning Sunshine!"

The Birth of KoSunShine

At first, I thought this was just a one-time class, a spontaneous flow shaped by the weather and the moment. But then, Wonderland asked if I could teach it regularly—not just in the morning, but at any time of day.

And I realized: this wasn’t just a one-time class. This was a practice I had been creating my whole life.

For years, I’ve explored how movement can truly make the body feel good—how it can be both freeing and healing. I’ve studied and taught dance, Nia, Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, and movement therapy.

KohSunShine is a natural evolution of all of it.

It’s not just yoga. It’s not just dance. It’s a fusion of breath, movement, and energy work that makes the body feel deeply nourished, awake, and alive.

It’s movement as medicine—gentle, powerful, and free.

What is KohSunShine?

KoSunShine is a flowing movement practice that blends breath, stretching, Qi Gong, yoga-inspired free movement, and rhythmic energy activation. It’s about:
